Doctors under restriction in scope of practice should not practise outside the scope specified, unless the restriction has been lifted by the Singapore Medical Council.
These doctors cannot hold themselves as Specialists (in the full scope of the specialty), but will have to make clear their registration conditions with descriptive terms such as "restricted to___ (description or name of scope)" or "limited scope of practice" when displaying their specialist title and their certificates, lest they contravene Section 65 of the MRA (False Assumption of Title of Specialist).
Wrongful advertisement or publicity of themselves as Specialists will be subjected to disciplinary actions.
