The Singapore Medical Council (SMC) held an election from 5 May to 19 May 2020 to fill seven vacancies arising from the end of term of office for seven Council members. Among the 12,016 eligible voters, 99.38% cast their votes.
The seven newly elected members who will join the SMC as Council members with effect from 9 June 2020 are as follows:
a) Dr Chen Suet Ching Jeanette;
b) Dr Christopher Chong Yew Luen;
c) Dr Lim Khong Jin Michael;
d) Dr Ng Wei Keong Alan;
e) Dr Subramaniam Surajkumar;
f) Dr Tay Miah Hiang; and
g) Dr Wong Chiang Yin.
The SMC welcomes the newly elected members. They will serve in the Council for a term of three years.
