The AHPC would like to inform you of the Temporary Registration framework for Speech-Language Therapists (SLT). This framework serves as a means to provide SLT applicants who have been referred to take the Qualifying Examination (QE) with more time to gain experience and skills.

SLT registrants who have been granted Temporary Registration under this framework must attempt and pass the SLT QE during their period of Temporary Registration. Their period of registration is capped at 12 months and registrants may only apply for Temporary Registration only once. They are also not allowed to change employers during their Temporary Registration with AHPC.
