Eligibility

1.           Possess a basic/primary professional qualification in his profession;

Graduates from the following education institution holding the corresponding qualifications are eligible to apply for registration with AHPC as an allied health professional:

2.           Bona fide allied health professional;

3.           Have an offer of employment in his profession in Singapore;

  • Securing an employment before applying for registration is necessary for the AHPC to verify and confirm that the prospective employer and it’s allocated practice place are able to provide the required supervision as stipulated by AHPC.
  • Please check that the prospective employer has met the Readiness Review requirement  for the profession you are trained in.  If your prospective employer does not meet the Readiness Review requirement for the profession you are trained for, your application will not be processed. 

4.           Be of good standing/reputation/character.

  • AHPC will verify your good standing/reputation/character directly with local education institutions.
 

Documents required for Registration

All supporting documents (files to be named appropriately) uploaded must be in PDF or JPEG format. Each file size must not exceed 1 MB.

Mandatory supporting documents

Additional documents to be uploaded in support of application

i. Front and back copy of NRIC (for Singaporeans and PR) or Passport (for foreigners);

ii. Passport-sized photograph against a white background (resolution to be at least 400 by 514 pixels);

iii. An employment offer letter from prospective employer which is not password protected; and

iv. Duly completed form SF2 – Undertaking by Supervisor.

i. Degree scroll; and/or

ii. Certificate of Service or work testimonial (applicable to applicants with professional practice experience only).

 

 

Prescribed Fees

To be registered as a duly qualified allied health professional, the following fees are payable by Credit/Debit card only:

Receipts of payment will be available in the Professional Registration System 5 working days after payment has been made.

Application Process

The entire registration application form will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Applicants may refer to the user manual for the step-by-step guide on the submission of registration application.  This guide is available for download from the “Forms and Downloads” page. 

Step 1:   

Enter the “Pre-Application” page.

 

Step 2:

Log in to the Professional Registration System (PRS) account to submit your registration application after completing the “Pre-Application” form.

 

For applicants with SingPass, please log in to the PRS using SingPass.

For applicants without SingPass, please log in using the user-id and password provided*.

 

Important Note:

  1. Please provide your frequently used email address as all correspondences will be sent to this registered email address.
  2. Please note that it is a criminal offence to make any false statements or provide any false information and/or document(s) to the Council.

 

*Please check your junk mailbox if you do not receive an email containing the user-id and password.

 

Step 3:

Please wait for AHPC to contact you with regard to clarification/ further documentation required in support of your registration application. All supporting documents are required to be sent to AHPC at AHPC@spb.gov.sg unless otherwise stated.

 

Note:

  1. Please check your email regularly as all correspondences (i.e. clarifications regarding your application, information on outcome of applications) will be sent to your email.
  2. Applicants are to inform the AHPC of any change in information (e.g. change in employment) while waiting for the registration outcome.

 

 

Processing of Application

1.       Application will only be processed upon receipt of payment and complete documentation.

  • Please check your email to confirm that your application has been successfully submitted.  If you did not receive the confirmation email from AHPC, please log in to the PRS and retrieve the draft application under “Enquire Application”.  You will not be able to submit another application if you have an existing draft.

 

2.       The processing time of an application will take approximately 2 weeks after all required documents are received.  Longer processing time may be required for application with incomplete or untruthful information/declaration.

Application Outcome

For Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech-Language Therapists:

1.       Successful applicants will be informed via email to log in to their Professional Registration System (PRS) account and make payment for a Practising Certificate.

2.       Upon confirmation of payment for Practising Certificate, the electronic Registration and Practising Certificates can be downloaded from the PRS.  Please log into PRS , expand “Administration” and click on “View Certificates”.

For Diagnostic Radiographers and Radiation Therapists:

1.       Successful applicants will be issued with an in-principle approval letter to apply for R1 licence and Thermoluminescent Dosimeter (TLD) from the National Environment Agency (NEA).

2.       Forward the R1 licence from NEA (printed on NEA’s letterhead) to AHPC for processing. 

3.       Applicants will be informed via email to log in to their PRS account and make payment for a Practising Certificate.

4.       Upon confirmation of payment for Practising Certificate, the electronic Registration and Practising Certificates can be downloaded from the PRS. Please log in to the PRS, expand “Administration” and click on “View Certificates”.

It is an offence to practise as an allied health professional in Singapore without registration and a valid practising certificate.
