Duration of Residency Training in Singapore

Residents in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Hand Surgery, Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Urology undergo the Surgery-in-General (SIG) training programme before commencing training in the various specialties. The duration of the SIG training is 24 months. The programmes are accredited by the Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST).
